Then, out of nowhere, this woman, probably in her 60s, came up to me. She introduced herself as a friend of my grandpa's, someone none of us knew about. She handed me a note and said, "This is from your grandpa. Read it, but don't show it to anyone, especially your siblings." Then she walked away.
I opened the note and nearly burst out laughing—Grandpa had fooled us all!
